Ten Years of Stratford

In conjunction with a post I’m working on for the Open Books Blog about mine and Ernie’s recent 1oth trip to the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Stratford, Ontario, I am posting a comprehensive list of titles we’ve seen together along the way.  Emotional highs and lows and moments both brilliant and trying along the way.  This roster includes writers such as: William Shakespeare, Moliere, Racine, Ben Jonson, John Webster, Lope de Vega, Pierre Corneille, Aristophanes, Lerner & Lowe, Kip Marlowe, Rogers & Hammerstein, George Bernard Shaw, Tennessee Williams, Harold Pinter, Eugene O’Neill, Samuel Beckett, Sartre, Edward Albee, Noel Coward, Anton Chekhov, Oscar Wilde, John Steinbeck, J.M. Barrie, Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter, Weber & Rice, Jean Anouilh, Michel Tremblay, David Edgar, Sidney Kingsley, Harvey Granville Barker, and Frank Loesser, among others.  Among Stratford royalty such as Seanna McKenna, Martha Henry, and the late Peter Donaldson, we’ve also seen performances by Christopher and Amanda Plummer, Graham Green, and Brian Dennehy.   Quite the crew! And quite the ten years….
