What’s One Bullet?
What’s One Bullet? is the narrative I crafted from interviews with John H. Stroger (Cook County ) Hospital trauma nurse Ernie Purnell in 2012.
It is part of How Long Wil I Cry?: Voices of Youth Violence (Big Shoulders Books, 2013).
This project was part of my graduate course work at DePaul University and led in part by my professor Miles Harvey.
The stories were also adapted into a stage play produced by Steppenwolf for Young Adults during its 2012/2013 season.
